Introduction

We are a new Cormo sheep breed registry, incorporated on March 9,
2009.  Our goal is to provide members with information and support in
their pursuit of maintaining the original Cormo sheep breed standards
set forth by Ian Downie of Tasmania, Australia.

We offer:
  • Expanded breeding opportunities
  • Co-registration with other Cormo organizations
  • By-laws and polices to rely on

Letter from the President

Dear Prospective or Established Cormo Breeder,

Welcome to our website, by-laws, policies, and the
Breeders’ Directory of our organization. Our website is
evolving at the moment and will include more features
as time goes along.

Cormos are a wonderful breed but we are fast running
out of breeding choices.  The Coalition wants to
maintain the Downie standard with no horned sheep and
expand breeding opportunities for ALL Cormo
breeders.  We are into co-operation, not competition.
We have spelled-out our ethical standards in our
policies.  Our pedigrees will have three known
generations listed with all the former registry numbers
so breeding mistakes are avoided.

Our members will be aware of the parameters of
membership and secure in the safety of the by-laws and
policies.  We welcome co-registration with other
breeders with accurate records of polled sheep.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call any of
the board members listed on the website.

                                               Sincerely,

                                               Barbara Janay, President
